It has only two cores. Some times my PC slows down when I open too many apps or some CPU intensive apps. Hyper-threading is a nice touch but they are not real cores. However, it is more than capable to run most of the apps and games. Since I hardly run more than one apps. A two-core CPU is good enough. The integrated graphic is minimal. So I bought a graphic card for gaming. This processor is both fast and energy efficient. Win 7 WEI gave this CPU a 7.1 out of 7.9. I have a discreet GPU for my system so I can't tell the performance of the Intel Graphics 2000. One thing I know is that you can overclock the GPU on this chip. Stock cooler does the job just fine as long as you don't burn the CPU with prime95 or something. It's also 200 MHz faster than the i3-2100. I would highly recommend this processor to everyone. |
