5.0 out of 5 stars Best Bang for the Buck by Far, September 26, 2010

The Intel i5-760 is easily the winner when it comes to performance for value. A quad core processor with a great base clock and amazing overclocking ability, the 760 offers great value for the 1156 socket.

When deciding which processor to go with for my new rig, I was torn between the i5-760 and the i7-870. I had already settled on the 1156 socket, with the P55 chipset. Works fantastic. No hiccups. Only problem I had was the thermal paste on the stock cooler was terrible. It didn't make any contact so it would shut down since it got hot at 98C. I bought some Artic Silver to apply to it. and it has run at 40C ish ever since.
